If you want to be a better leader, you're in the right place. If you want to be a better individual all around, you're in the right place. That's what made for more exists to get the individual better, which in turn will make them a better team player, a better team, a better family, or the world a better place. Motivate, inspire, and encourage our goals. Welcome to episode 199. We are excited. We're one away from 200. 200 is going to be special. Today we are taking a step back from our Someone Left You a House series. So if you've been listening to the last four or five episodes, we're taking a break from that because we're talking about a big announcement that we are making here at Made for More. Today's episode is all about action. Okay. I'm going to ask you to do something. If you're listening to this and you're not willing to take action, then you are not going to get anything from it. And if we're all about personal growth and making ourselves better, then you want to take action. So I'm going to be asking you to do something that's going to help you, something that's going to push you to look inward at truth about where you are right now. But before we jump into all of that, I just want to say welcome. If this is your first time listening or watching, we're actually on the YouTube as well. So trying to get a little bit better with YouTube. But we are on YouTube. There's a video version of this. It's just me tonight. So you have me, you have my logo in the background, and then you have Michael Jordan right above that logo. So go check it out. It's the Made from War Consulting channel on YouTube. But again, like I said, before we jump into that, I want to say welcome to any first-time listeners, watchers, thank you. Do us a favor. Would you rate us wherever you listen to your podcast? That helps us. Do me also, do me a favor also and shoot me a message. Let me know where you're listening from. Let me know a little bit about you, about your background, why you're listening. And if you enjoyed listening, if you enjoyed learning something, or if you did learn something, or if you didn't, um I'd love to hear from you. I heard, I mean, I I remember getting a message from someone who criticized our podcast, but it was one of the best criticisms because we learned from it. We changed some things, and we continue to grow from people that can either criticize or encourage us. So thank you for all the feedback. But we really do want to listen to you, hear from you, and learn a little bit about you. So if you hear any, the other thing is if you hear any loud booms in the background, it's the 5th of July. And I still have neighbors that are popping fireworks. So, anyways, thank you again for listening. I hope everyone had a safe 4th of July weekend. It was amazing to see all the different celebrations on TV about history, about um all that. And I don't know if you guys have any any any of your family, like, what do you do every year for the 4th of July? Just pop fireworks for us. We have a standing um tradition of watching the sandlot every year. We watch a sandlot, it's on the 4th of July. We just love that movie. Some of the sometimes the girls leave and they're not there, and I'm the only one watching it like it happened yesterday, but I love that movie. Um, also watch something patriotic just to remember that our freedom wasn't free. So, yeah, what are some of the um things that you do on the 4th of July? Uh I don't know if any of y'all are done with summer vacations. We're done. Some of y'all are probably just now getting started, but we're wrapping up because we have some things to do around town. We have some weddings, we have a trip we need to take local to a water park. But we're in full Wimbledon mode right now. I love watching tennis, and so I did that as a kid watching tennis with my family, uh, my extended family that was out of town. I spend the summers with them in Wimbledon would come on, and I have some awesome memories of grabbing a can of Coke and watching Wimbledon. So we're doing that here. Um, wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I just want to say thank you for listening. Thank you for supporting our podcast and supporting me. But it's not gonna kick off our podcast. Um, I want to read something that I posted on social media this this week, earlier this week. I shared a post on Facebook and on Instagram that was extremely personal to me. Um, and I want to read it as we kick off. So uh listen to this, okay? It says, I want to tell you something I don't share everywhere. There was a season of my life where I was showing up every single day doing good work, helping people, leading teams, and I was empty inside. Not because anything was wrong. Actually, everything looked right from the outside. I had what most people would call a dream job. People respected the work, the team was moving forward, by every external measure, I was successful. But there was a voice inside that would not be quiet. You were made for more than this. I kept ignoring it, I kept showing up, I kept taking care of everyone around me, and the whole time that voice was just getting louder and louder and louder. I'd built a career in the corporate world that most people dreamed about. I moved up fast, I became a market leader, manager trainer. I had a gift of seeing people's strengths and helping them tap into what they were, what made them great. That has always come naturally to me. Then I transitioned into ministry, became a youth pastor, a campus pastor. I poured everything I had into leading people, developing them, watching them grow, and I was good at it. Both of them. But something kept pulling at me. Is this everything or is there more? The scary thing about having a dream job is that it gives you permission to settle. Because from the outside, everyone looks fine, everything looks fine. Nobody questions you, nobody pushes back. You look successful successful, so you must be, right? But internally, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was holding something back. That there was more that I was supposed to offer the world. Then came the hardest decision of my life. After 13 years, after 14 years, I walked away. Think about that for a second. 13 years. A role I knew, a community I loved, a paycheck that I could count on, and I walked away because I couldn't ignore the voice anymore. Was I scared? Absolutely, absolutely freaking lotely, I was scared. The question that kept me up at night, um, and that made me restless was what if I fell? What if I can't make it? What if I made the wrong call in my life? The unknown is heavy, is a heavy thing to carry, and it's a hairy burden, and I carried it some nights more than others. That was a low point. Not because everything fell apart by any means, but because I had stepped into the unknown and had no guarantee of what was on the other side. But here's what shifted everything. In the middle of all that fear and uncertainty, I kept coming back to the one thing, the one thing I'm here to do, and it's help people. In the middle of all that, I came back to that. I'm here to help people. That's it. That's all I knew for certain. When I would spiral mentally, when the doubt got loud, I would come back to that. If I can just focus on helping people, young and old, individuals and teams, then I'm doing what I was put here to do. And slowly everything started to fall into place. Leave people better than when you first met them. That became my life motto. And why? Why was that my life motto? It wasn't just because it sounded good, right? Because I but here's what it is. I genuinely believe every single person, every single person that I meet is made for more. They're made for more than they're currently living. I still help people every single day. Business owners, college students, high school athletes, families, entire organizations. I've had the opportunity to stand on a stage as a keynote speaker and a commencement speaker. I've sat across people in their darkest seasons and I've watched them find their way through. Do I still have moments of doubt? Absolutely. But how? But here's how I know when I get to recenter. I just come back to the mission. I come back to the people. I come back to why made for more exists. To get the individual better, which in turn makes the team better, the family better, and the world a better place. I share all of this with you because if you're reading this, there's probably a voice inside of you too. One that won't quiet down no matter how busy you get. Once that keeps whispering that there's more. I want you to know that that voice is telling the truth. And that's exactly why I built what I built and why July 6th matters. Because what's coming is designed for people exactly like you, people who are ready to stop settling and start living like they are made for more. And I just said DM me if you're interested, or you can comment that you're interested. I'll see you soon. So that was the post. The response was awesome. But more importantly, there are people that messaged me that we're gonna meet, we're gonna talk. People that said, hey, I'm I'm I'm all in, or hey, I'm I'm ready to do this. So I want to ask you a question and I want you to be honest. I want you to be honest with yourself because it it does me no good. It does you no good either, for you to lie to yourself. But here's what I ask you. Are you hearing this voice as well right now? I keep thinking about the business owners that I help. And maybe you're a business owner who's built something freaking amazing, successful, but now you're disconnected from the way that it all started. Or maybe you're the person who's showing up every single day for everyone else, but you're currently running on empty, and you know that you're just one break away from breaking down, like a vehicle running on empty, it's gonna stop at some point. And then I think about the parents that listen to this moms, dads, single moms, single dads. Maybe you appear to have it all together and you figured it out, but there are certain areas of your life that you're neglecting, and it's been a long time since you've allowed yourself to grow or pushed yourself to grow. Or what about this person? Because this was me, and it's still me sometimes that I have to battle is this person who says, one day I'll do it for myself. One day I'll get to this, or when everything falls in place, I'll do this, or hey, I'm too busy. What about that person? That single day that you say, hey, once this day comes, I'll do it then, but then that day just turns into a week, and that week turns into months and months into years, and before you know it, you're living with regret because you never started. So no one else can answer this question for you. But where you sit, whether you're sitting, walking, driving, whatever you're doing, wherever you wherever you're listening to this, you're the only one that knows if this voice is present in your life right now. Now let me ask you, is there a voice inside your heart, your mind, your soul right now that won't quiet down? One that keeps telling you that there's more. More growth, more purpose, more life that you know that you know that you're capable of living. That's the voice that's there when I think you go to bed. And sometimes it wakes you up. But if it doesn't wake you up, it's definitely there when you wake up. I want you to know that just like I said in that post, that voice is not random. That voice is telling you the truth right now, that there is more, that you are made for more. And you can fight like hell to quiet that voice down. I'll never forget standing in the lobby of where I worked. We had a second campus. I'll never forget standing in the lobby of that campus, working there by myself one day. I think it was either a Tuesday or Thursday, because they had stuff there on Wednesday, so Tuesday or Thursday, and I was standing in the lobby at this bar with my computer open. And yeah, I knew. I knew right away that that voice had come from my heart and said, This is it. There's more out there. There's more. So here's what I want you to know. That voice is a reminder you to you and me that we are responsible for unpacking where that voice is trying to send you, where it's trying to send me. You're responsible for that voice. And my biggest concern for everyone listening right now, for everyone on this earth, my biggest concern is that they could that that they leave this earth knowing that they could have given more. Or that they live on this earth right now with regret, that they didn't chase the dream or goal, and that the voice was trying to remind them daily. Every single day. And I gotta let you know, fear, fear is definitely real. Fear is definitely real, but regret can be forever. It can be paralyzing. And I do not want that for you. I also believe that most people they just don't know where to start. I think you you hear that voice and you hear me talking about this, and you know you've maybe come up against it and you've seen it. It's like going down the street. If you if you could use your imagination, like we have been with our previous episodes, if you close your eyes and just picture yourself walking down the street, and your biggest fear is walking right back towards you. I don't know what your biggest fear is. But if it's maybe not your actual fear, because some of you are afraid of clowns or snakes, but what if it's this boulder that represents your fear and you're walking towards that boulder, and it's in the way of this path that you're trying to walk? I believe that some of us know that we need to go in that direction. We just don't know where to start. We don't know where to focus. We aren't clear on where we need to start to make the most progress, but we do know that the voice is calling us to walk down this road. And so that's why for me, this episode is all about action. You see, I created this scorecard that I've been talking about, and it helps with all of this. And the reason I created it was because I was in this place as well. It takes the eight key areas of our life, our health, our finances, our family, our fun, our career, our environment, our friends, and our growth. And it shows you and it shows me exactly where I am putting my energy right now. But then you get to decide where you want to go from there. You get to see exactly where most of your time's being spent. And if you're trying to balance everything, because it's not about balance, right? We've said that before. Balance is a myth. We can't do everything at once. And I believe that some of us are stuck where we are because we've tried to do everything at once. I gotta take care of the kids, gotta make sure the bills are paid, I gotta make sure that I'm growing at work, I gotta make sure the boss is happy, I gotta make sure the wife is happy, I gotta make sure I spend time with my friends, I gotta make sure I mow the lawn, I gotta make sure that everybody's fed. And before you know it, you're you're just spinning out. And I get it. We have busy lives and we gotta show up everywhere. But if you don't prioritize those areas and put them where they need to be, I believe that that voice just gets louder and louder going, you're made for more. And you just gotta learn where to start. So if you don't hear anything from this podcast, please hear this. Please hear this. You can write it down, you can put it in your phone. But I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You cannot renovate an entire life in one day. But you can walk into an area and begin the process. One area of your life, one intentional step at a time. So if you had eight areas in your life, and they re and those maybe it's a room like a house, and each one of those rooms represents an area of your life, you can walk into one room and begin it. Begin the process. But you can't do all eight. You can't do all eight. So when we started, I told you this was gonna be all about action. It's gonna be a short episode because I just want you to focus on action. I want you to focus on this voice that's in talking to you. So I'm about to give you the action steps. And if you're not gonna do it, then I'm gonna ask if you really want to personally grow. And you may be tired. I hear, I hear you. There's things that I've been challenged with that I'm doing right now in the coaching that I'm in that I don't want to do. But if I don't show up, those days turn into a couple days, and then that those days turn into a week, a week, and then a week turns into a month, and before I know it, what I've committed to is so far behind me. Or I'm behind. If I would have just stayed consistent. So I'm asking you to take action right now on what I'm about to give you. Three steps. Number one, take the freaking Made for More Life scorecard. Take the take the scorecard. All you gotta do is, if you haven't, do it today. If you haven't, it's free. Takes about five minutes, maybe ten minutes tops. The link is in the podcast notes. All you gotta look for is made for more life scorecard. You click on it, and it's a it's a sheet, a Google sheet or form, and you just do the do the test. It's a quiz. And it and it'll send me your results, and we'll send you the scorecard so you can see it. It might be eye-opening, never know. But number one is this take the scorecard. Like right now, take the scorecard. If you're afraid to hear the truth, then I'm gonna ask you another question. This is this isn't the second step, but this is on the same number one is take this the scorecard, and this is within it. Is if you're afraid to know the truth, then my question for you is do you really want to grow then? Do you really want to grow? Because in order to grow, it means you need to go somewhere, but in order to go somewhere, you need to know where you're starting. So, number one is take the life scorecard, it's in the podcast notes. You can go to made for more consulting.com, and I believe it's under scorecard. Click on it. There you go. Number one, take the take the scorecard. Number two, listen to that voice. Listen to that voice. Whatever area of your life is this voice is trying to talk to you about. Here's what I need you to do. I need you to write that down. For me, it was. Was my job and my calling. I don't know where that is for you, parenting, maybe spouse, maybe identity, like who you are and what you've been battling with. But here's what I need you to do. I need you to listen to that voice. I need you to write it down. Just acknowledge that voice that it's there. That's the first thing is just say, yeah, I have a voice. It's talking to me about there's more. And then I want you to begin to figure out what part of your life it's talking to. Write it down. Begin to write down each time you get something from that voice. What area of your life, what areas of your life are you doing the best in that area? Is that why it's calling you to be more? Again, it's like this path that you're walking through. And each boulder that you come into contact with, you have to go through it. One of my favorite books is The Obstacle is the way. Meaning you have to go through the obstacle so that you can see the path. So number one, take the scorecard. Number two, listen to that voice by writing down what area it's talking about. And number three, here it is. Last one, show up to the Zoom. Show up to one of our Zooms. If you're listening to this on July 5th or 6th, we have a Zoom at 7:30 p.m. on July 6th. If you're listening to this after, I would just go to our website and see if there's any more Zooms or just personally shoot me a message and say, hey, I listened to this after. Is there are there any more coaching spots available? Because here's what I'm doing. I'm hosting a free Zoom. I'm doing something that I've never done before. I'm announcing a group coaching program that takes everything I do in my one-on-ones, my team coachings, my organization and entrepreneur coachings, and it brings it to a small group for the very first time. I'm only going to have 25 spots. You're going to have a if you if you make if you're able to make those 25 spots, you'll have a founding member. Um pricing, you'll have it for life. I'm hosting that free Zoom on July 6th at 7 30 p.m. But if you don't get to that, you can shoot me a message. Again, it takes action. You have to step out of that comfort zone and shoot me a message. All you gotta do is go to made from work consulting.com slash wait list. And that's the that's the wait list for the zoom. I'm gonna try to put more on more than July 6th because apparently the USA is playing in the World Cup right when I'm hosting this. So I'm sure there's gonna be other Zooms before we launch the actual small group coaching and we close the doors. But right now, if you're listening, July 6th at 7.30 p.m. is when the first Zoom is gonna be available. So go into the podcast notes or go to made fromward consulting.com back uh backslash wait list. Or you can go to the website and just click on renovate. But here's what I'm telling you. These are real action steps that you have to take. No one else can do this for you. So, like I said, number one, take the scorecard. Number two, listen to the voice and write things down. Number three, show up to one of our Zooms. And I'm sharing the episode because again, I know what it feels like to have that voice and not know what in the world to do with it. It's scary, it's paralyzing. You you feel alone even though it's talking to you, and it's alone because you're not sure who to tell. Um, and and again, I know what it's like to feel or look like successful on the outside while something inside is quietly screaming that hey, there is more out there. I also know what it's like to be on the other side of that freaking decision when you stop ignoring that voice and you start doing something about it. It doesn't mean again that fear is going to be gone. Heck no. Tonight, as I'm telling you this, preparing for the launch of this, what if it doesn't work? Those those those thoughts come back in. What if you don't have enough to pay the bills? All those thoughts come back in. But this voice will throw you into the fire a bit. But what was ever created from playing it safe? Was there anything ever created from playing it safe other than contentment and complacency? Has anyone ever built anything at all? And it worked out on the first time? Like flawlessly. Has anyone ever built something that has not had the has not had to dig deep and stay committed instead of quitting? Because quitting is the easiest thing. It doesn't work, so I'm gonna quit. I'm gonna go to option B. But when you quit, that voice just gets louder. And that's why made for more is here. That's why it exists. That's why renovate the group coaching exists. Every single one of us, no matter where we are, no matter what our story is, our past, our present, every single one of us are made for more. That's what we say. So as we wrap up, here's what I need to ask you. So what do you need to do now? Take the scorecard? Write out what the voice is telling you, and show up to the zoom. Which one? Maybe you've already taken the scorecard. Or are you pursuing that voice and writing down what it's telling you? I just want the best for the people around me. I do not want someone to get to the end of life and have regrets. I would rather them get to the end, and just like it says in the man in the arena, I'd rather them get to the end of life and be proud of themselves and be s you know, sweaty, bloody, beat up, and marred with dust, than to be with those lost, poor souls who are in the bleachers that don't know victory and they don't know defeat. That's what I want for people. I want them to be proud of their life. So this is straight to the point. This episode's different. I know. I don't want to thank you for listening. Growing is an option, and so is this being distracted. You have the option to grow, and you have the option to stay distracted. So let's go after what that voice is trying to reveal in our lives. And remember, we exist for more. We're here to offer more. Don't ever give up. Every single one of us are made for more. We'll talk to you guys later. See ya.
